12" , tho, when I think about it I had a pair of firestone 14,9X28's on 11" rims and did well at pulling with them on a WD45, but I sure wouldn't go any narrower.

I bought a tractor that had 14.9's on 8" wide rims. They looked like balloons but that was the way they were back then. I believe the originals were 13-28's. I have since widened the rims to 12" ------------- Maximum use of available resources! |

| My 13-6 Firestones say "on a 12 inch rim" on the sidewall. Came new on a MF on a 11x24 rim. 14-9 being the next size up could run a 12 min. or a 13 like Tony says. |

14.9 is the modern equivalent to the original tires that were mounted on 8" rims from the factory. We have two WCs that we pull with this same arrangement, a 37 with spokes and a 38 with pressed steels. We have been very succesful with both tractors. Kip ------------- HANSEN'S OLD ORANGE IRON.
