I looked in Parts book to try and compare lift cyl's for Early D10 vs CA as I thought they were the same part. They look very close in picture in books, but part number is off. this is D-10 prior to Ser. # 3501. Books shows a lift cyl w/ traction booster very similar to CA cyl's. Have a Forum member considering a set I have for sale off a CA. Thank-you for any comments

I can't answer your question for sure but if I had to guess, I would say they are the same or would interchange. If the D-10 had non traction booster hydraulics, the pump is on the right side of the engine and there is a small tank by the distributor. That is a low pressure system and the lift cylinders are larger in diameter.

I can't answer the question either, but there were parts that were interchangable from the CA to some D series tractors. That was true in the transmission gears, and the pinion shaft from a CA is the same one in a D15.

Sounds like Calvin has this one figured, Thanks. Just spoke with fellow looking to buy, and he and I swapped measurements and confirmed what Calvin stated. He has a Early D10, Non-Traction booster, pump on side w/ low pressure and he has the larger cylinders with oil line near bottom of cylinder. The CA cyl is of course high pressure system, smaller in Dia, and feed oil into bump in casting of body about midway along length. The D-10/12 does show 2 types of cylinders also, with gland nut and without gland nut, not sure what the deal is with that change. Thanks.
