I replaced the shock on a WD with one off a 1951 Ford car. It worked good and fit the spring. I dont know what number it was, as that was 50 years ago.

I went through this a few months ago. Even with a very good NAPA man (oldtimer) we could not find any that were the correct length and that also had the correct "eye" size to accept the rubber bushings. A couple of the vendors on this site have new replacements, but they are a bit pricey. I found a used one from a member here, and bought new bushings for it.

I used these parts a few years ago.  Don't let them cross the monroe # to another brand, the Monroe 5752 is the same dimensions.

Monroe 5752 - Advance Auto - $25

Seat Bushings - HELP! 31001 - $7

Things may have changed, I bought these part numbers in 2008 or 2009.
