Found the reason why the temperature gauge seemed 'lazy'... thermostat
was stuck open.  Broke off all three 1/4-20 bolts gettin' it apart, but no big deal. Talked to AC Bill about this... Steiner carries the T-stat for WC/WD/WF, but nothing else. Bill suggested NAPA. This thing has a fairly large 'skirt' on it... nothing like I've seen before, so guess I'll stop by NAPA and see. Anyone dealt with this before? |

| Replaced mine earlier this year. NAPA had one. Skirt, stat, rubber seal. I don't remember if they had a gasket or if I had to make one. |

Guy says G226 thermostat is NAPA part number 155 - it's a 180F... says it has 'suggested gasket material'... so I'm on my way to get one! Might as well get some oil filters while I'm at it, eh? |
