I hate to mix subjects, but the whole fuel costs in the USA is really hitting home. A good friend sent me this link, I feel it hits the nail on the head.

We could start mounting windmills on top of trucks and put a politician on there talking to power the wm, no that won't work, the speed limit is only 70mph.

What we can do is vote them all out of office, and start voting for people that have started at the bottom of the latter. These people do not have a clue about out needs.

Hay, for the first time in over a year , diesel is CHEAPER than gas ! D is $1.27 / litre ( $4.96 USG) and G is $5.46 USG. I  wish my A-C forklift( Buda diesel) had a bigger fuel tank !
You'll have to 'glock' ALL the politicians at the same time to make a REAL change on 'capial hill'.

When you have a majority of people (notice I didn't say Americans) who are on the dole and vote, you'll never get the IDIOTS out of office or make a change. The democrats have been giving this country away since Viet-Nam

Ive never voted shame on me I dont buy into one side is always write IE dems and rep BUT I believe we had a presidential canidate which spoke of empending problems and has tremendous COMMON sence but couldnt get the time of day from most AMERICANS!! Ron Paul how americans could vote for Mcain or Obama over Ron Paul I cant understand most americans must be deaf because Mcain and Obama just ran verbal circles saying very little that made common sence. The current oil mess has very little to do with the arabs or the common investor or supply and demand that is all smoke and mirrors

You also have the factor of run away inflation due to the fact that our country is so much in debt and can print more money as it needs it.  It makes our dollars worthless.  Remember when a loaf of bread in Russia required sacks full of Russian dollars to buy it?  A new pipeline or not from Alaska will do little to reduce the price but would do us good to reduce the amout of oil we get from overseas.
