Hey Everybody!

Okay, so I'm making danged-little-progress on my '37 unstyled, but to make it easier to move around the shop (compacted gravel floor) while I'm workin' on it, and on the shop... I'm taking off the flat rubber (rims rusted really bad, and the tires won't hold air)... so I found a pair of steels, gonna take all the cleats off (and put 'em in storage), cut up the rubber and bolt it on (to protect the steel a little), and use those to wheel it around while in the rebuild process.

These steels are French & Hecht, spokes are fairly flat.

There's an F&H facility here in my area, they sent LOTS of wheels over to Deere, Farmall, and Case, I'm betting they provided to AC as well.  Guy I got these from says that the WC shared bolt-pattern likeness with the F-20 Farmall, so not an unusual trade.

My question:

Did AC source F&H for their Factory OEM wheels?  If not, was it common for dealers to order F&H wheels when 'not' factory-spec'd?

Finally... my '37's front pedestal probably dind't come from a '37... it has 6-bolt hubs.  Is that fairly correct for a '37?

F&H built the round spoke pneumatic type wheels for AC if I remember correctly,

Hope that helps,
Denis

It depends on the serial number of your tractor.  1936 #23529-1937 #59627 used the 16" six bolt front wheels, according to Terry Dean's Data Book.  #59628 and up used the five bolt hub and wheel.

The WC's OEM steel wheels were F&H.  Search this # 190522680790on ebay and you can see a set.

My 20-35's have F & H numbers on the cast hubs. They supplied wheels to many manufacturers.
