Thinking of running a second combine at some point in the future.  Thinking of a R60 or R70 to compliment the R52.  I have my reasons to be able to justify 2 combines. Anyway the point of my post.  We are running a 520 on the 52 and that works out well for us if we where to run a 520 on a R60 or R70 would I gain ground speed?  if so how much?  Are their any common parts between a R52 and a R60 or R70

If the processor of the R60-R70 isn't equal to the R52, you won't gain much. By equal, I mean in good condition( no worn helicals, cyl bars, rev bars, concave, etc)  and a later model processor would be considered P-3, which is very similar to an R52 only 90 inches long instead of 70 inches long. All things being equal, I'd say 1 to 2 mph better in soybeans depending on engine HP, which is different between R60 and R70 and again different from oldest to newest.
