What's the difference in a B/C plow and a CA plow? Will either of these work on a D14. Found them advertised in my price range but was just wondering if either would work?

I doubt the B/C plow will be a snap coupler style ------------- 1938 B, 1945 B, 1941 IB, 1949 C, 2 1938 WCs, 3 1950 WDs, 1951 WD, 2 1955 WD45, 1957 D-14 |

I believe the term "CA" plow was the earlier pin hitch model and that would be alot of work hooking up to a D14 for a small amount of plowing.
The B/C plows have a completly different mounting system then what the D14's have. You need a "snap coupler" hitch plow to work on your D14, or a pull type would work also. ------------- Unless your are the lead horse the scenery never changes!! |

I looked at a 2 bottom SC plow yesterday but didn't get a chance to get a price on it because the place was so busy. I got on their website and seent that they have an Allis B/C plow for $100 and a CA plow for $150. These must not be one of the ones that I seen. I may call about the snap coupler plow to get a price.
The place I found these was at Carl Mitchell's and Sons in Central City, KY if anyone is ineterested in the plows listed above.

The
CA plow has a shorter beam then a plow for a WD or D14. I use a WD plow on my CA ok.
But I never tried a CA plow on my D14. The CA plow can as a pin hitch and a snapcoupler hitch.
It would not be difficult to lengthen the beam to use it on a D14. Bob

Late B's had a SC set up but if the B-C plow is that, it wont work on a
D14. Any CA plow could be made to work on the D14. If it is a pin
hitch, you could unbolt the hitch and add a SC hitch to the length
needed. However don't use the pin hitch couplings on the lift arms. They
