After Halloween ice storm of 91. These were used in removing and replacing highline poles and wires that were down for about 20 miles. They were about 70-75' tall I'd guess. Took all winter. These were right next to Dad's farm. Last pic is of one with a thrown track. It was there for months.

Someone posted  a while back about a bunch of machines a dealer had with no blades, guess this might explain another use for track machines with no blade or push plate.

Thanks. I wish i would have had a better camera back then. And then I really didn't know how to take a good picture but at least I took em. The brand new poles are up by this time as seen in the one photo but no wires yet. Those guys the were up in the huge booms and climbing those poles earned every dollar they were paid. The poles went up in January with some days at -20˚F with a stiff wind but they never quit. What was said might take close to a year was done with in the spring. They were out of Iowa I think.
