Do the D17 heads, WD, and the WD45 heads interchange? I have a WD with the tall head (4") that needs a replacement. Will a D17 head fit on it? I understand the pushrods and some other stuff is different between the tall and short heads, but I already have the tall one. (which is a bit of a shame since I have a very good short head on hand)

rocker arm posts and valve cover are different from a tall to a short, but the rest will swap out easily

if you are going from a 4" head to another, it's as simple as changing it

I've got what I think is a D17 head that I know dad took off of his WD.  It's for sale if you need a head.
