Tractor values are based on the condition and location of the tractor. More info is needed, a photo?

From the factory, they came with a 4 cylinder gas or a six cylinder diesel.  With a 6 cylinder gas in it, that was put in after market.  Lot would depend on what engine it is, how well it was done, and if that fact bothers the buyer, as far as value goes.

yep, being a Frankenstein, value would be predicated on what seller and buyer can agree upon.

Local club pulling rules wouldn't allow it. But I'd buy it. The cool factor would be nice.

Now just a COTTON PICKEN minute, didn't the 2 row, 616 and 622 come with 45 and d17 tractors that had optional 6 cyl engines when they were under those cotton picken harvestors?... Think the ring gears were turned around backwards. seems one of them even had a turbo-charged diesel engine in a D17 under one of them units.

Diesels were 6 cylinder, not gas.

Have you checked the tractor serial number yet? Maybe the tractor was originally a WD45 diesel and someone installed a 262 gas out of a D19 or Gleaner F into the tractor after the engine shot craps. Just a thought.  Rick

I'm with Rick on the diesel engine getting changed out for a gasser.
Post a photo of it and we can tell more.

Don - I think you need one...then you can come hook up to my 74 SC mounted plow and have enough tractor to both lift it and give it a workout!  I think putting the buda 6 cylinder gas into a 45 diesel tractor that has an engine beyond repair is a great way to bring it back to life.  Mike

Mike if my old A Gleaner dies I will pull the 230 off it and install it in a WD45 diesel tractor, That will give me the hp I need in a WD45 and can let the 4020 go down the road. lol Don

Don, are you telling us that you use the 4020 upon occasion???  You could do that with a 190 or 190XT and not endanger your status on here  lol...Harvey
