I am going to make a puller out of the 6080 FWA we have. I will be putting a narrow front under it. As someone suggested in an earlier post, I should use a D17 front bolster and pedistal. I was wondering if the D17 front would be heavy enough or should I get a D19 NF. I would like to get a NF off of a 190, but I think they are a little pricey. I am hoping to get it in the 6500# class.

Brian, just be careful with the narrow front, depending upon how far and wide you are going to go pulling, some clubs do not allow narrow fronts for classes that veer from bone stock.  It may not affect you, though.

I would build my own tube axle, it`s not hard to do and will be more stable than the narrow front. Also as stated depending on the club and the class you may have to run a wide front.

I have wide front's off of a D17 and D15, if I go wf, then I will adapt one of them to fit. I would like to make it a nf like the rest of our tractors. I think I will use a D19 front as I suspect it to be a stronger unit than the D17 unit. Did the 170 to 190 tractors have a nf support and pedastal like the D series. Anyone have a D19 or 100 series support and nf pedistal for sale.

My dad doesnt seem to want to fix it up to sell it, so I am going to pull it. There are nort to many Allis's at our pulls. I think I will part out the other 6080 to raise the funds for this one, and the new truck to haul them all. I will likley keep one front axle, so if I want to put it back to stock I will have the parts.

Brian, If you are parting out a 6080 I need a pto drive shaft. The shaft I need is #72092484, it is the shaft the shift coupling slides on and goes to the rear housing with the 2 gears made on it.
I think D17 frt end would be plenty big for pulling, Gordon Ogoltred ran D17 frt end under his 220 the Canadian Hauler.

Sam; I see that you are not to far off of the route that I take from Mableton to McItyre. I will contact you when I get home.
