So back in the middle of July I did some maintenance on the old girl, including new batteries and cables. I mention this because the engine now spins so much faster it’s not funny. Also starts much faster/better. I think the cables were the big thing, corrosion was pretty bad. The other night it got down in the mid 50’s, curious, lets see if it will start? Spun a little bit but lit pretty quick. Before, it would have never started without being plugged in.

Moral of this story; Faster cranking speed=good! If you have a hard starter, look into the cables. They might just be the problem. 

Just remembered, need to get an oil filter so I can finish the maintenance up on this one.
