Anyone have any thoughts, good bad, or ugly on a deutz allis KM 25 3 point disc mower. It's the model with two big drums with 3 or 4 knives on each drum. Supposedly 7 foot cut. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks, Darrel

After 40 years?? I'll bet there are ZERO repair parts available.

is it a drum mower, or is it a disc mower? Disc mowers generally are gear driven, where  drum mowers are usually belt driven. You may find that some other drum mowers may have interchangeable parts, it is such a simple drive system, other manufacturers just straight ripped it off...Wink

I haven't laid my eyes on it, just seen pictures of it. It's coming up on an auction in a couple weeks. Hopefully I can get a chance to look at it. I would bet that it probably is belt driven drums.

I have the 5.5 foot model km22 . It was a great mower until I  borrowed it to a friend and he hit something and broke off one of the blade holders . I bought a new one but now it is out of balance and wants to shake itself apart. I found an old dealer in Arkansas that got me the part right away, several years ago. It was a load for my D-14 , but so much better using than my old 80R sickle bar mower. There used to be a lot of chicken farmers in Arkansas and they used the chicken manure to fertilize their hay fields , the dealer told me that he had sold lots of the mowers.
