The Good
It’s a very early D14, S/N-1496, it’s the 496th D14 off the line in January of 1957.  It has the early unit traits like, WD steering wheel, orange grill, old style decals, small bullet taillights, short PTO lever, and had a 6V positive GND generator.
Starter was rebuilt by ‘Steve in NJ’, a forum member, it's now a 12V starter (new bearings, fields, armature, Bendix, blast & paint).  I also got a 12V conversion kit & wiring harness from him.  Kit consists of new lights, fuses, wiring harnesses, alternator, switches, gauges, etc… an excellent kit.  I’ve also fixed little stuff like the gas gauge, cleaned the tank, cleaned the air filter, various gaskets etc…

The rear tires are 14.9 x 26 and like new.
The front tires are 5.5 x 16 and like new.
Everything works, power adjust wheels, front axle adjustment, power director, PTO, hydraulics, lights, has never jumped out of gear…
Comes with the original parts I took off when converting to 12V; the generator, lights, some gauges.  I also have some spare parts too like valve cover, head, and oil pan gaskets etc…

Comes with:
- WD farm crane and lift bars, The lift bars are for the WD but not needed on the D14.
- AC grader blade, the adjustments are free and in good shape.
- Draw bar and snap coupler latches.
- 5’ brush hog, works fine but the tires are shot.

The Bad
- The tachometer doesn't work.
- Oil seeps around the power director shaft.  I’ve read this is due to a failing O-ring that can be replaced through an inspection plate.
- Oil seeps out around the PTO on/off lever, not the PTO shaft in the back.
- I noticed a bit of coolant running down the back of the engine block below the head after mowing once.  I parked it after that planning to investigate and it’s been more or less sitting since.  No exhaust bubbles or oil in the radiator.  The radiator is still full.  I changed the oil and the initial oil has a bit of coolant in it, see pic.  I did a compression test; Cylinder 1=125, 2=100, 3=110, 4=123lbs.

The Ugly
Not much, it's in really good shape.
- Rear of the right fender has a small dent, see pic.
- Radiator cover has a small dent, see pic.
- A small rust hole in the tool box not the fender, see pic.
