Parts were made to be interchanged between the two types.

My question would be, why would anyone want to change one in 2026. Every WD is at least 73 years old. It's days of being the big chore tractor are long gone. If the 2-disc lasted this long, I would suspect it will last a lot longer than any of us will.

I went through the hand-clutches on both my 45’s. Both ‘53 models, upgraded them to 3-disc. Found new and good used parts on E-bay back then. You might still be able to do that?
