| I purchased new seals from general gear and am struggling to insert them with the rubber gasket staying in place. Any suggestions? |

I had to contrive a contraption using a board and block of wood held up with a ratchet strap when I did the seals on my Son-in-law's HD5G several years ago. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures but with some ingenuity it isn't too hard to do. Best wishes

Gasket gets glued in, can’t remember the particular glue. Will look over the weekend for what I used. Be sure to tighten the sprocket nut super tight, I think it was 1600 ft lbs. ------------- HD5B, HD5G, (2) FARMALL A's, CUB. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, IGNORE THE LAUGHTER. FLANNEL IS ALWAYS IN STYLE. |
