I’m ordering decals from Maple Hunter for my 1959 D14. It doesn’t show a decal for the choke. I sand blasted my side covers and didn’t take a picture first. I can’t remember if there was a decal there? Was there one?

On my 1959 D14 I have original side covers that has an oval with a D-14 inside. A decal on each side. I believe that is original. I have also seen square D-14 on supposed later models of D-14. Hope that helps. Good Luck, Bob

Thanks Bob, mine is the later 59’ with the D14 on the rear corner of hood. Just thought there would be a choke decal at the lever.

I have 3 D14s all wearing original paint. None of them have a decal for the choke.

Thanks Myron, that’s what I needed to know. My original paint was so faint that I just put it in the blaster and went at it. Just figured there would be a decal there. But now I know. Jay, I’m not sure if the covers had ever been removed. Low hour tractor with apparently no issues behind the covers. All the bolts were there also.

Mice absolutely love making nests behind those covers - well hidden and lots of wires to chew on. Most of my side covers are in better shape than the tractors - they got removed from the tractor and hung up in the shed!

Oddly, Our D15, my D17 never have nest there. Found some stuff in the flywheel occasionally while sitting over the winter, which this D14 had in it also. That’s with the bell housing cover still in place. The wiring also had not been chewed on. Lucky I guess. We do get birds nest in the radiator cowls in the spring. Always check them before we start them.
