Have a customer who broke the right steering arm on his Allis 500 forklift and bent and scored the rod on the steering cylinder. I've sourced a new arm but can't seem to look the machine up on Agco Parts books and not having any luck with google. If I can find a seal kit I can make a new rod but I can't find a number for a kit or a cylinder or anything. Any chance any of the Allis tractors used the same cylinder? Or is anyone able to look up the cylinder or seal kit part no for me? I'll try the local hydraulic place next rainy day but they don't really want to bother with the odd ball stuff. Tia.

Dave... i have run into an "ODD" cylinder a couple times... I took the BORE and ROD DIamter and bought a GENERIC KIT that had several extra seals included.. you pick out what you want and use that... Most cylinders were not made by the "tractor guys". but purchased aftermarket from the "hydraulic guys" ... and they tend to use common seals on most , if you get the DIAMETER known.... like you said, the local "hydraulic guy" does this method..

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
