Hi there,

I am new here and looking for a bit of advice.

Became a 220 owner last summer in England, UK after bidding on it at auction. I have been told by the previous owner it is the only one in the country. This has meant parts are having to come from the US.

I have reconditioned the starter motor and have a ring gear on its way over from the States as they weren't always meshing and a bit chewed in places. I think it is best I do the clutch while split.

Is there anyone here that would be able to send a rebuilt clutch over? I think I saw Rick mentioned in a thread and warnings of the chinese reproductions. There is a clutch kit on Reliable Aftermarket Parts but it costs over $900 delivered.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Fred

I suggest you pull clutch apart and assess it's condition before automatically just replacing it. It cold be just fine.

Thanks for the replies and the link to the parts.

That had been my intention to assess when we have a look others have said while it's split may as well do the clutch. Having said that it's not like it's on any heavy draft work these days!

At a minimum, if you are going to split it for some reason, my rules are new rear seal and sleeve, both new clutch shaft/PTO shaft seals, and a new throw out and pilot bearing.
