I'm changing the brakes on the left side now. And I noticed the bearing's race had a score mark all the way around.  The steel ring shims on this side totals 0.038. The other side was 0.022. I guess that's what was needed for pinion, ring gear backlash. But does the scoring on the race show its too tight.

No. It ran fine before. If it was too tight, it would have failed by now. Don't change a thing.

what your seeing is minor damage from DIRT an CRUD in the oil that gets MASHED into the races... Roller bearings probably look the same... as Dr said, thats normal.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thank you Dr Allis and Steve for your reply's. I was completely relieved.  I did notice that same color some what on the cage of the  the bearing in that same area. Doing this brake job has been a can of worms.

The dull gray area is the normal wear pattern of the rollers. The thin discoloration at the edge of the race is also normal considering that nothing has been riding on that surface.  The slight pitting is also normal for a bearing that is likely original. Change if you want, but the bearing should be replaced too. Personally,  I wouldn't worry about it.
