I purchased a 1955 WD45 because I always though they were a cool looking tractor.  After I got it I decided to mount my 7' bush hog on it,  there are places the bat wing won't fit,  and I figured I might as well give the 45 something to do to earn it's keep.

My problem is,  if I spend much time on it,  the hump in the front of the seat is smashing the family jewels,  does anyone else have this problem?

I can't believe I'm the only one that suffers with this.  I've never had women expressing great acclaim on me for this being a problem! Cry

Anyway,  do the seat pads/cushions help with this?

Or what have others done that helps?

Those old variation of horse drawn implement seats were not known for comfort.  A good thick cushion might help.  Otherwise, next step is aftermarket seat with a flat seat cushion & arm rests.  The correct police don't care for them but who cares if comfort is the goal.

I have a seat cushion that was made for this style seat. While not comfortable, I"ve not had the issue you describe

I think you need to get a new seat shock or add a 3/4" tall spacer to the shock spring to raise the seat up to level. You are sitting too low (weak spring). Seat shock needs to be fully to the REAR in the slot.

.

+1 Sounds like a bicycle seat tipped up.

You also don't want to roll back off the seat. Spring and shock replacement seems best.

I put an old air shock on my 1941 Johnny Popper seat; I pump it up, and Grandson lets it back out Tongue
