Originally built by and still owned by the city of Cincinnati under the name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati,_New_Orleans_and_Texas_Pacific_Railway" rel="nofollow - ; the line was previously leased and operated by Southern Railway and known as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_and_Crescent_Route" rel="nofollow - ; it hosted a named passenger train, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_and_Crescent_Limited" rel="nofollow - .

Since the merger of Norfolk & Western and Southern, the line has been operated by Norfolk Southern Railway.

Camera is on the railroad's East side.
Behind the camera is South toward Chattanooga; we are looking North toward Cincinnati.
