Does anyone happen to have a set of fire rings that MACK made laying around?  I regret never getting a set from him before he passed.

Use hylomar on the whole gasket, did that on my d19 diesel and never had a problem with it for the last couple years.

Did you use the spray? I’ve heard of it but usually use copper coat on head gaskets.

Yes I did, it’s like $40 bucks on Amazon for a 16oz can
Here’s a link to where I got it..

Another plus is you can supposedly reuse the gasket if you ever pull it off again.
Haven’t had to pull the head I put it on again so I don’t know if that’s true.

I know he made them thicker than stock. But not sure what he made them of.

" I regret never getting a set from him before he passed. "
That makes two of us.

Don't think I would reuse an old head gasket on a diesel...

Here is some of his own words…
I’m not for sure if that’s what he made them all out of but we was dealing with a copper head gasket.

Think we’re going to have to go this route. Have a wd45 diesel that can’t seem to keep her head down with ARP studs to boot. D-17d engine repower.

For some reason he will want INSIDE diameter, then measure  used compressed  gasket, I think I went 40,000 thicker then the gasket.
