Does anyone happen to have a set of fire rings that MACK made laying around? I regret never getting a set from him before he passed.

Use hylomar on the whole gasket, did that on my d19 diesel and never had a problem with it for the last couple years.

Did you use the spray? I’ve heard of it but usually use copper coat on head gaskets.

Another plus is you can supposedly reuse the gasket if you ever pull it off again. Haven’t had to pull the head I put it on again so I don’t know if that’s true.

I know he made them thicker than stock. But not sure what he made them of.

" I regret never getting a set from him before he passed.
" That makes two of us.
Don't think I would reuse an old head gasket on a diesel...

Here is some of his own words… I’m not for sure if that’s what he made them all out of but we was dealing with a copper head gasket.

For some reason he will want INSIDE diameter, then measure used compressed gasket, I think I went 40,000 thicker then the gasket.
