There will be a significant Allis Chalmers estate auction of 90 tractors including some rare items such as a WC Speed Patrol grader tractor and a 20/35 etc. I visited this man a few years back and boy his building was jammed with tractors that he had finished to perfection. Shackelton Auctions is handling the sale at http://WWW.ShackletonAuctions.com" rel="nofollow - WWW.ShackletonAuctions.com for anyone that would like to view some of the sale items.

I first met Ron Pye about 20 years ago when we both were attending a Farm Auction that had numerous Allis items listed.
He later visited me a couple times in Bowmanville.
In 2011 I was attending an RV Rally near Ron, so I went and visited him.
I was utterly shocked to see how many pieces of various Allis Tractors that Ron possessed.
His SHOP was an Allis Collectors Dream. You could barely walk among all the rare Tractors in the SHOP.
The 4 walls of the SHOP was a museum collection of SIGNS.
Then inside his house his ALLIS Collection continued.
Every wall was lined with Glass Front Shelving containing an endless collection of small Parts in their Original Boxes.
I believe I took around 70 pictures that day!
This upcoming Auction of Ron's Allis collection will be like no other.
With 581 listed items, including about 90 Allis Tractors, there is definitely something for everyone.

They have a lot of interesting items in the sale. I assume you multiply the price shown by 73% to know what it is in American dollars. I wonder how much hassle getting a tractor back across the border would be?

First you need to add the 15% Buyers Premium, and then our Ontario 13% HST Tax.
An additional 28% on top of the winning Bid Price, and then convert that Total to American Currency.
I expect this will have a tremendous effect on American Bidders.

I don't think the HST tax will apply to American buyers. Only suckers in Ontario.

Do US citizens pay HST in Canada?
The HST was meant to streamline the recording and collection of federal and provincial sales taxes by combining them into a single, uniform levy across Canada. Everyone, including nonresidents and travelers, must pay the HST where it is levied.

I have imported a bunch of tractors from Canada (I only live 5 miles from the border). The last one I brought in was a D-15 Series 2 on Memorial Day this year.
Make sure you have a bill of sale (they usually don't ask me, but I always have one). I always tell them that it is an antique tractor and for my own use. Have your documentation with you (enhanced license or passport). I have never had any problem and have never paid a broker or duty.
If you are a business, it might be different.
If the auction company takes credit cards, that is the best way to pay. You will get the current exchange rate with no cost to change US $ to Canadian $.
