Is there a readily available product to remove white corrosion from aluminum? Working on a see doo engine and plenty of small stuff that needs cleaned up for new gaskets...small rubber rings that set in grooves. Vinegar? Mechanical scraping and hand wire brushing seems like my only choice.

Hydroflouric acid is a great cleaner for aluminum but use it outdoors. It is the main ingredient in aluminum cleaners/brighteners off the shelf, but any chemical supplier can supply much stronger percentages. Rubber gloves are a good idea also as is a face mask. A stiff bristle nylon brush is great to use and doesn't dig into the soft metal. If scrubbing, use a "tyvek" or rubber apron to save your clothes.

Also be aware of all the nuns, puppies, safety police etc. you'll do eternal harm to in the world......

It washes away clean so don't worry about any of that garbage.

Do try to NOT remove too much material, Generally O-ring grooves are designed for a proper Squeeze.

It not real bad. I think some light scraping etc will probably do. Was looking for an easy button. Lol

I bought some grill cleaner at Sam's club , works great on Aluminum pots and pans to remove burnt on grease . It will dull the metal but etch into metal .
Sold in a 3 pack with one sprayer head .I just spray it o n- let set for 5 minutes or so and rinse in hot water . Use a scrub pad sponge to scour some heave stuff off
