Drained fluid and replaced filters on my new-to-me 6080 yesterday. One new filter (WIX 51831) was fine. O-rings for the second filter(WIX 51652) don’t have a good place to go. Both that came with the filter are larger diameter but thinner than the o-ring on the old filter, so I’m not getting a good seal. Did I get the wrong o-rings with this filter or am I missing a trick to hold them in place?

Thanks

Are you speaking of the longer filter?   You might need to try a second O-ring maybe or a different one.   The new filters aren't providing a good o-ring anymore and might be made slightly wrong.  At least that is my guess from when I had the same problem on a 6070.

The Agco parts book shows the o-ring as a separate part from the filter, and only one ting between the filter and housing. Looks like I reuse the ring off the old filter and toss rings that came with the new.

Do you have suction filter effective sr#5284.
We don’t have any issues with agco filters 70270958. It comes with multiple orings but only one is the correct one. Other doesn’t do anything.
Other hyd filter is 70253952
We have both agco filters available

Yes, this is the suction filter. Looks like I’ll go with agco next time. Rings with the wix didn’t work, ring from the old filter is in place and doing its job.

Hopefully an Agco filter will work for you and they have it fixed.  I used both agco and wix and both failed to seal.
