I needed to load some stuff on a trailer after work. The power steering just quit.
I checked the hydraulic fluid and it was full and the hoe and loader work fine.
Does it run off of the fluid in the clutch? I checked it and it was a little low. I topped it off but still no power steering.i need to get a book for it.

The cylinder is seeping hydraulic oil. I wonder if it’s leaking internally?

Does the I600 have the power steering reservoir in the front casting?  If so the fill/check location would be behind the grill, in front of the radiator.

No it’s not there. All the lines go towards the clutch housing.

Hey Ole buddy,,,long time No See,,?  The power steering reservoir on mine is like ole jim,me says in front of the radiator. the pump on mine quit some time back and was leaking fluid internally into the crankcase. Since it will be a very BIG job to remove and make repairs to pump,,,( IF ONE CAN BE FOUND) I did what Dr Allis suggested,,,,,when the combined fluid level gets high enough in crankcase,,I drain some oil from crankcase and put it in power steering reservoir ,,,,,
When I rebuilt the tractor I did replace all the internal seals but looks like the one between the PS Pump and crankcase has failed,,,
Maybe,,one of these days when I ain't got nuttin to do,,,,,,
