Anyone put an air ride Gleaner seat in an 8000? My 97 R62 has a Grammer air ride seat. I'd think there would be something in salvage yards for considerly less than new from vendors. Thoughts?

Maybe instead of looking for an air ride seat, it would be better to do a better job of properly preparing smoother ground prior to planting.  Slowing down to a reasonable speed could also help. I see many these days travelling across a field faster than a CA will go on the road.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

I'm sure you could take a used base and make it work, but for what i've been quoted from equipment salvage yards it wasn't much cheaper than new. And going new means no worn out bushings or linkage in the base. I put in an air-ride base and swivel kit from K&M and re-used my factory seat that i had reupholstered. Turned out pretty nice, although the factory seat lacks in comfort and support compared to a newer seat. I'll probably end up removing the original seat at some point and going with a newer one. The seat in my R52 is considerably more comfortable.
