| No, I didn't lose that knife but I bet you are looking at a new tire. Could have been worse, no one hurt. How slim are the chances of finding another of those in a tire. |

My father ran a huge tire shop all of my life until he expired. He had a huge collection of things taken out of tires. People waiting to have work done would be amazed looking through his unusual collection. In his collection, he had several pair of needle-nose pliers, countless deer antlers, and numerous table forks. I can say, from what I remember about my father's vast collection, that she could very well be the only person to ever have a butterfly knife penetrate a tire.

I just thought of what was probably my father's most unique tire getter = a Boar Hog Tusk about four inches long. The guys dug lots on bones out of tires; and, when they were digging out the Boar Hog Tusk, they first thought it was bone. As soon as I saw it, I recognized it for what it was; as, I had many times watched the guys at the local stockyards de-tusk all the killer boar hogs before loading them on a semi-trailer. This was something as best I remember required by law; it was illegal to haul boar hogs complete with tusks. For whatever reason, they did not enforce this on the farmers, as they would truck them in, tusks and all, and leave it to the guys working the yard to have to cut out the tusks.
