With Iphones or any other electronic Mobile phones as far as can tell.  Got a older I12, just got a Update and cannot STOP the Insistence for Two Factor Authorization, throws a Warning up every so often that many access items may not be available.  So looked into what that required.  Can set it up, FOR NOW, where only if I want to access certain operations would have to enter my Two Factor ID Passcode, did not care for that so called APPLE to find how to disable, cannot.

So had a conversation(REALLY) with a Tech as to this where as a Class A License Holder should this go where I am fully aware it WILL go, I driving a Truck, am NOT ALLOWED to place hands on my phone for any reason unless pull over park and not attempt to drive to enter such Nonsense Passcode.  Tech informed me that Yes, it is intended to go that far in the near future where will have to Enter the Passcode just to awaken the phones.  I explained that is UNAVAILABLE if a Driver needs to make a Call such as for Emergencies or to contact a Dispatcher or if Home calls and he needs to call back on a Voice Dial, HANDS FREE is the ONLY method we as Class A License holder can do so long as sitting on a roadway, Can cost us our license as a Moving Violation.  Tech apologized but stated APPLE Mgmt has said this HAS to happen.

About to give up on Anything APPLE, perhaps even anything Electronic Communication.

I’m not sure if it’s an ‘Apple thing’, as much as a gooberment thing. My first reaction is Apple is responding to legislation in the pipeline in relation to cell phone use in commercial vehicles, with soon to follow that, any moving vehicle. If this all plays out, the way I understand, all cell phone makers will be adhered to the law/regulation/statue.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

What is weird of all this Lars is I use my phone thru my hearing aids for answering calls, can Voice Dial to Make Calls, is all hands free. This new alignment takes the phone away altogether unless parked.

If I had my way, if the vehicle is in motion( say over 10 MPH), driver's phones would be disabled.
There isn't one one  good legit reason to be on the phone while driving.
There's too many people on the road, NO training or education that do not pay attention let alone drive properly, speeding, no signals, etc. Local highway here with huge quarry, truckers don't STOP before they enter the highway, 4 accidents in less than 3 months, don't even stop for the red lights.....
They also can't drive with a bit of 'white' on the highway. 4 truck pileup yesterday.,caused by not concentrating and DRIVING.

When I got my new I phone a couple month ago I didn't have all the pass code set up and all I do is pick up phone and squeeze side button and is open to use. When I first got my new Ford Escape all phone calls and text messages came in on car screen but now only phone calls come in, guess I didn't check the right box to have to pay for the text messages.
