I need a sheet of plastic for a project. The thought of a mud flap came to mind. I found 24”x36” mudflats made pf polypropylene. Perfect size but how thick are they? Hoping for 1/4” thick |

my guess 3/8 or 1/2"... 'rubber' ones are those sizes.... they won't be 100% flat, if that's an issue...... also tend to have embossed names on them... | Plastic flaps are seldom thicker than 1/4”. Used to have several but do degrade as all plastics do and tossed. |

they are normally 3/16 inch ............ various dimensions length / width ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| Find a local truck shop if you can. Seems those shope take off others madflaps and alwasy put on their own as advertizement each time they work on a truck. Lots of almost new mudflaps in the trash |

When hauling for the city into their one yard , i collected 10 or more mud flaps the city drivers left behind when dumping . They never bothered to retrieve lost flaps . Just have shop replace them . Most individuals will not reuse a flap if the mounting holes are torn , I just turn them around and drill new holes . ------------- Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? | If I lose a flap I cut it off just under the torn out holes . It was too long anyway. After you shorten it a couple times they usually last a while.😉 |

1/4" poly is commonly used as dump truck liners. Look for a truck shop in your area that installs liners, they may have scraps or take outs laying about.
