Had to take freckles to the vet today for a routine visit. Stopped at the local store for some lunch on the way back. Left her in the truck with the air on. Came back out and the doors are locked. Still waiting on AAA at the moment..... Damn dog. I guess that's how things go when you have to many women in the house

Thinking of my dad and the lovable lug collie he had. It was an ongoing battle between those two, dog dying to lick dad’s face, dad hating dog licks to the face. Well, manual locks, but the dog would still occasionally lock the door. Dad left the sliding back window unlatched so he could reach in and unlock the door. OH WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE DOG!!!

Another Amazing Pet story!!

Maybe if you would have bought Freckles a 100% all beef hot dog and held it up to the window.......she would have unlocked the door to get to you!

I knew a mechanic that took his little pet with him every day to get parts 30 miles away.......he did the same thing you did, left mutt in car, air on, mutt locks car and when the guy comes out, mutt is looking at him and bouncing all over the car......he had to have someone bring him keys for the car!

I carry spare key or fob so I don't get locked out of my pickup after dealing with my mother in law and my nephew locking the truck when getting out!

I put a flat non chipped key for door locks only under one of the screws holding my liscense plate on between plate and bumper. Alarm will sound when unlocking but turn regular key in ignition and alarm will go off. When Im close to home or in the field I keep an extra in the slot on the gas filler door.

Like Dirt Farmer says: spare key somewhere that you can access from the outside. I have locked myself out several times.

In the"old days" you could hide one under the hood rather easily. For years now everything has locked hood you access from inside.

She had a nice cool 2hr nap. When I finally got in it was COLD in that truck. I made sure to tap on the window several times to wake her up. Mainly just to piss her off

somebody stuck a finger in me for a fecal exam I'd lock the damn door also.  My truck has an access code, so I guess I'm lucky in that sense.

I keep the window cracked open a bit if I am stepping out and the keys are in it. My elbow will hit the lock button accidentally. Keep a coat hanger in the bed box bent just right and ready to go. Getting good at it now.

Locked my van accidentally yesterday. Was loading a garbage can I use to store parts in. It shifted as I closed the back door and bumped the lock button as I closed door. Heard it lock but was too late. Van running with air on , cell phone sitting on console. Was at my storage unit. Got a ladder, wedged door at top to get piece of 3/8" coil copper slipped in and bumped switch to open. Thank God I had that coil copper or I would have been walking. No dog to blame just me . Going to get a non chipped key and hide on vehicle first thing today. Friend of mine suggested this when I bought the van and I didn't listen.
Dealership I get van serviced at rolls driver side window down as you pull in .Guess they have had a few get locked accidentally
