Is anyone on here familiar with the good or bad of the older (1940's) A-C crawlers? Have recently found an HD14 for sale. Wanting it for use as a farm dozer. Advise please. Thanks!

If the track is good and the motor runs , and the price is right , it should do the job.

My Father and Father-in-Law both owned HD-14's and they were very good machines for their time...... They are not nearly as easy to work on as the later model AC's built in the 50's and 60's...... If everything works well on it and the undercarriage is in good shape, it should make a good farm dozer...... I own several HD-5's, HD-6's, HD-9's, HD-11's, HD-15's, and an HD-20 and they have all been reliable, relatively easily to maintain machines..... Good luck....
