Got done feeding cows and happened to
notice that 3 of the heads have popped off the wheel bolts. Checked the other
side and one is off there. 6 marks on the bolt head so I guess they are grade
8. I have had this tractor for 30+ years and never had it do that before. I was
lucky and got all 4 out with Snap-On left hand cobalt bits and easy outs |

normally when the heads pop off, the bolts have been over torqued... what did it take to remove the remaining bolts ? ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

 This is what I used. It's probably been 30 years since those bolts were out.

how TIGHT were the bolts that did not snap ? ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Steve, I took a coulple of the good bolts
out and they looked ok. I used ½ inch breaker bar and they came loose easy and
did not seem overly torqued. Put 4 new ones in and put hay out today no more
broke off Dave, It must be shadow in photo as all
but 1 was clean break and no rust. The one in the photo on upper left had a
little rust I want to add this is a 180 and I put a bale
on front and back when I feed and been doing it for 30+ years with no problems |

Steve, the wheel holes are not wallowed out which would indicate they were loose so I’m in agreement that they may have been over torqued when installed.
