Well, I've just about wore out a few different plans of attack on fixing the power steering on my D14 Industrial Backhoe/loader. I really looked into an electric PS system, but there just ain't enough room on the D14 to do that. I had stolen a complete EPS out of a Toyota Prius so,that can be used on some other project,,,,

Even considered a belt driven unit mounted on the engine but, again,,there just ain't enough room,,, SO,,,as Dr Allis had suggested some time ago, the primary issue is the seal on the factory PS pump is most likely leaking PS fluid into the crankcase.

SO,,I want to start rounding up parts to rebuild the pump, and the Ram. I think the rest of the PS system is OK as when system is full of oil it does work great with one hand like it susspossed to.

I want to gather up all the parts to do this during the upcoming cooler months as I cannot do anything during these 105° days,,,,

Which vendors, suppliers do ya'll recommend,,??

Most likely NOS parts will be all that you will find as most things may be listed NLA. You might also try to match seals through an industrial supply place. A friend of mine had to make his own shafts for the D14 pump when he rebuilt has a few years ago.

You can use a D15/D10/D12 pump to replace the D14 pump if you are willing to cut a notch in the right frame rail to clear the relief valve plug of the pump.

Many D10/D12 tractors have "engine driven" hydraulics that are only "lift-lower" without traction booster. These are quickly identified by the hydraulic reservoir between the distributer and oil filter.

...only catch, have to take the rest of the tractor.

If the pump is working and just leaking oil into the engine, you may get lucky and just need a seal and maybe bearings. I would not advise doing anything with the steering ram at this point. Parts will be scarce.

AGCO should have all the seals you need. A well stocked local hydraulic shop can help as well.
