I had my follow-up Dr appointments over in Lubbock, Tx today and after a very LONG day,,just drove back  into town bout 30 min ago,,! My YEARLY appointment with my Cardiologist was at 10 Am (Texas Time) so I had to hit the road by 5Am to get to his office by 9:30,,but I got some good news,,!!He told me everything looked real good and I was below 200# for first time in 25 years! My ECG was good as well and BP also good. After he got done with me, I then had my YEARLY with the other Dr that installed the Defibbrilator (sp) and HE said everything looked great as well...!!!
Guess,,,Ya'll gonna have to put up with ole Joe more longer,,,,,ClapClap

Joe, don't know where you started from on your journey to sub 200 pounds, but congratulations! loosing weight is the hardest thing on earth to do....at least for most of us. I'd need to loose 70 pounds to get there.....but I really like ice cream!

Well,,THANKS, Guys,,,!!  Actually Lou,,I had been way on up there kinda like ole Shameless,,,,(Not that I KNOW, just what someone told me) Like most of us I was a svelt 145# in our wedding picture,,,Wink which thru the years went to 248# and my extreme height of 5'8 13/16",  helped spread it all out mostly around the belly,,,,,,,LOL
I've been at 220# for several years and NO amount of diets, promises or anything has got me below that,,until I had to start taking care of my wife round the clock and,,,,and,,,doing the once a day cooking,,,,,,?? Go figure
Actually, what finally came to me is that my wife did not place too much emphasis on taking care of her diabetes and other stuff which finally ended and I have now started to take lots better care of what and how much I EAT,,,that right there is the secret,,,,,
Now,,IF I could just get this PITA back problem resolved,,,,,,,,

That front one has nice headlights.
No convertible for ole Red though. When I lays that pedal to the metal it would twist the frame til the doors wouldn’t open. Hard top needed for that high HP.
Just think about ole Joe losing all that weight. He’s really gonna slide pack in the seat when I hit that there throttle.

Yeah, TBone,,,I know most of us need to do something bout our weight issues due to some REAL health issues,,,,For the longest time, I saw what happens when you don't get serious bout your health and do what you have to do as far as bad eating habits. I wish I could of done some things different to change my Wife's habits to prolong her life, but I guess it was not meant to be. BUT,,,watching her made me realize that SOME things are entirely UP TO YOU
and once you realize that,,,,,  it ain't hard to make your decision to change your bad eating habits which DO influence diabeties and weight issues. I haven't done any serious weight loss programs,,just Don;t eat as much as I used to,,,and I feel better and not bloated like I used to,,,,,WinkWink  Now,,I'm shooting for bout 170,,,,,ish,,,,,,Clap

Great news, Joe !!!

I remember, years ago, when I had a (one) doctor. Now I have a General Practitioner, Cardiologist, Dermatologist, Urologist, Oncologist and ENT. I see each twice a year (at least), but all pretty good news, so far.

As far as under 200, that will never happen until I am decomposing...

Jay, I like that idea of a smaller plate!!  Problem is, I'd got back for 2nds or 3rds....
I put on a bunch this last couple a years cause of being cooped up with this covid crap....nothin else to do but eat....

WAY TO GO JOE!!  Back when I was a young'un, I couldn't put on any weight!  I ate like an elephant, but nothing worked.  I guess I was just to ornery and working all the time just burned up all them calories.  I looked like Creston back then!!  6' 3" and a 28" waist and 34" inseam.  I don't think I'll ever see that again either.....but I do need to lose a few...

A guy ast his buddy, "How can I lose about 15 ugly pounds?"  and his buddy says "you could cut off your head!"
