any ya'll hit with it in your area yet? a couple chicky growing places in NE have contracted it, 100's of thousands of chicky's gotta be kilt. there goes the chicky prices!

I saw on the RFD market report Monday so far 8 states for a total of 13,000,000 chickens and turkeys. 13 million.

Don't worry about them Joe. Usually the game birds (yard birds) don't have anywhere near as bad of a time with it as commercial birds

Big egg laying facility in Wisconsin has to dispose of 3,000,000 birds and the county is on lock down for moving bird in the county

We have to be careful. We don't wear our "chicken house shoes" anywhere but the chicken house. That's typically how it gets in commercial flocks. You step in some infected poo and track it in the chicken houses. If we were to break with bird flu they would have to euthanize our birds and any other commercial flocks within 2 miles. Even the ones that belong to other companies
