i will start replacing the transmission clutch in my wd45 in the next few days, if i leave my f11 mounted to the rear will i still be able to split it far enought to do the job i would only be able to roll the front half about 14 inches before the front wheels would hit the loader. does the input shaft have be removed , do the frame rails need to come off. i am running out of splitting stands because we allready have three customer tractors of all colors split , no racism here. but this the best time for me to get my tractor done

Remove the 7/8 frame rail bolts and replace with 7/8 x10. Remove drawbar, PTO, unbolt steering from trans. top, PTO shifter, and hyd. cylinders. Support under frame, Remove six housing bolts and role back end out. Remove 4 bolts from front of clutch and remove. MACK

are yopu saying using 10 " long bolts for guide bolts ? i will be able to split 14" if i do not remove the loader ,is that enough , if that isnt then i will need to remove the loader if i do that then i just as well roll it apart fer enough to drive the forklift in between

That trans input shaft will stick out 6? inches....but once split it can be pulled out to give more room to work. I'd think 14 inches would be enough but its been a while since I was there.

Mack's suggestion allows you to easily roll it apart and back together again. Only need one jack under the PTO box area.

Just measured a single shim the other day and it was .010. New shims are stuck together I believe and have to be carefully separated.

so the book says start with three shim packs at .140 thickness, so the three shims that i got are .007 that i got so that is 20 shims per stack 60 shims at 15.00$ each that is $900.00

You can get them at your local AGCO dealer for the WD and the WD45 and the last time I recall buying them they were less than 200.00 for all three shim stacks...a tad more maybe for the WD45...Rick

Seems odd that folks buy new ones when you remove shims to adjust. I have a drawer full of shims. However I also have more then 10 assemblies on the shelf since I rebuild many of them for my collection.

I think a lot of times people put them up so they know where they're at and then can't find them! LOL! Or...the owner/owners before them took them out and thought no more about them, so the newest owner has to find some. I used to have hundreds of them, but through the years I gave them all away to those in need...

agco dealer could not verify part number 70223166 if that is one shim or a full stack, but that was the part number that i had ordered. when i get the paying work done for the day i will start making some out of some 16gauge that will add up some thickness
