I'm in the process of rebuilding the MK II 3700 engine for the 210 and was curious about which pump would better for pulling,a bosch pump or an ambac.

Bosh inline???? A inline will kill ambac's.

gotta tell us what there are for rules, if you can run a P pump, that is what you should build it for. There's a reason limited classes don't allow the P series. It takes some serious work to get one on an AC, but it's definitely worth it.

Grinding on the block. The mark 2 block is better than an older 3500 series one engine.

I just put one on my 210. I previously had an A on it, which fit nice, but I have a later block. The P requires cutting off one of the pump mount bolt ears, machining some clearance on the mounting face, boring the pilot hole in plate and welding the old mounting bolt holes, locate pump housing and mark and drill/tap new pump mount holes, special hub, modified stock DM gear, line set, modified front cover and plate for rack cap clearance, a support stand under the rear of pump etc! I spent a lot of time, and my machinist buddy did a lot as well. I have lots of pics, but don't have time to load here.

So Ed,I assume with the missing ear that's the need for rear support? Only asking because the A on my 8070 has all the mounting holes up front and seems fine. Never thought about a support.

P pumps generally have a rear support in their stock applications, some don't utilize it, like a 6030, but an 8650 does. My A fit my other front plate I have modified for an A pump, but one of the pump mounting ears does need some material ground off as well as small amount of block grinding. The P we modified for this would not have required any block grinding. We just milled the needed clearance on the pump housing.

I just wanted to be a little more competitive in the stock speed limit classes and still be able to bush hog or what ever in the field without burning the engine with to much fuel.I'm using the 3700 block,but at this time my db pump has been turned up and the dm pump hasn't and i didn't want to let the db just sit since i spent the money on it some time ago and am attempting to use it.
I also wanted to be able to bolt the front plate to the frame rails however the 3700 was on a stand and didn't have a front cover with the ears for doing that.
So i'm trying to marry the 210 front cover to the 3700 and having to dry fit things first.
I got a front cover off a 7045 to use but soon realized it was thicker and not as wide as the 210 plate and didn't have the hole for the hydraulic pump so i hasd to regroup.
I was just wondering about the bosch pump being now would be time to find out if it would mount on the front cover off the 3500 motor.

Front plate without the side frame ears?? Just make angle irons to bolt in place to make that happen. Weld them to the front plate if you want to instead of bolting them. For what you're wanting to do performance wise, I'd be using the M-100 AmBach pump lines and larger Bosch injectors.
