I realize Speer went out of business a couple years ago, but did someone buy them out? Thought that was being discussed. I got cushions for my one-eighty from them several years ago. I'm now in need of seat cushions for my D17 IV. I've seen them at the Allis shows, but no shows this year. Who is selling a good seat cushion for a decent price? Thanks, Dave

Dan, how thick was the seat cushion? Seems like an original is about two inches thick. I want to make sure it has plenty of cushion, as my back needs that. Thanks, Dave

Where ever you get them, get the metal base with seat and back cushions as unit. It'll be way better than the wood based cushions to put on old base.

I got cushions for my D17 series 3 from DJs tractor parts. They are thicker than original ones and comfortable to sit on. Google them and you can order online or call them. They also have pins and bushings and other parts for the seat suspension. After 50 some years some parts will be worn.

I bought a complete seat cushion set for my 190XT from Rick’s AC tractor parts. He is also known for his clutches and brakes on this site. His cushions are made with high quality materials. Metal backing instead of wood. Good prices also. I just tried looking up his site and it didn’t come up???

Robbie...The reason you couldn't find my site, is because I was having trouble with it and couldn't get it straightened out, so I dropped it...I can get the seat cushions though for like the D17 Series IV for 210.00, plus shipping and that's with the steel back material and the embossed leather...Rick

The cushions I bought were $87 for the seat cushion and $58 for the back cushion. They also have restoration quality ones for $150 and $117.

Then that's where I would be getting them at...these are of very good quality as well. So they had the steel backing on them, too?

What is the deal with the steal backing? Aren't they all with steel backing? What would the other backing be?

A lot of them come with the wooden backs on the cushions and, if left in the weather for a few years, they rot out, where the steel back seats do not...

I went with Rick’s for that very reason. The ones I replaced had wooden backing, seat material was still in good shape but the wood had started to rot and the attachment points pulled out of the wood. I’m glad I did, after 3 years of use they still look great and I won’t have to worry about them rotting. My XT is kept under a open shed. Paying the extra money was well worth it for a better product.

Thanks Chris, she looked like this when I bought her 5 years ago. 11 months went into her transformation. Replaced a lot of parts.

I would like to get the armrests for my International 1466 with the Hydraulic Seat refoamed and recovered like from Factory someday.
Anyone know where or who could do it?

While we are talking about seats I have some I need. This summer I acquired a 1940 B and it came with the remains of a leather spring seat. It has a box spring, horse hair filling, and a leather cover. The corners of the leather cover is sown together with an orange band.
Does anyone know how many years AC used these leather seats on the B and possible the C model? I also have a 1949 C that I need a seat for.
This is a picture of the leather seat.
Sorry for the over size picture but I cannot get it to take at a smaller size. You can slide over the picture to get an ideal of the seat. Tim

I would contact Devon's tractor, not positive he has them but can probably help. Have a hydraulic seat on my 756 that needs the same as yours. If I get the engine in it this year the seat will need help soon after.

I want some that are made just like the Original ones, not those aftermarket ones with the zipper.
Maybe I can find someone around who would fix the ones I have , repair or make a new cover and foam.
I will see about this when the time comes not important now just mentioning it on this topic to see what someone else on here knows about fixing seats, should be able to fix these armrests just like the originals, the same as a seat cushion is fixed/repaired.
