Anybody have chain guards to fit an A/C 172 rotary cutter?

Dave...If your good at the search thing, there was a discussion a long while back about that subject....I think I posted some manual info if that would give you a start....Dale *** I looked back and see the pic date was Dec 20, 2018.. I think the consenus was, everyone on his own....This is one of the pic posted...I think !!!!

| I would fab it with a welder,torch,angle iron and flat metal. Weld links to bottom side. Can't imagine anyone ever pulling the rod and removing then replacing chains. My Woods doesn't throw enough out to make it worth while...yours might? |

I made my own years ago also...measured pictures in my operators book and scaled them to the mower...bought a blank piece of metal and measured it out for my blacksmith...he notched the chain holes and bent the angle...I made the rod and cut the chain links and drilled my own mounting holes after lining it up on the mower. ------------- Matt Folkers FOLKERS RESTORATION Restoring vintage things to last so the future can enjoy our past. |

On my 172 mower I installed a old AC baler belt, no more sticks,grass or any thing hitting me now. |
