Has anyone heard if it will be held this year? As of Friday the 15th all of the closure mandates have been lifted by the governor.

The Allis Connection president, Mike Anderson, has been in phone contact with the Amana Society, owners of the Middle Amama Community Park, and with The Ox Yoke Inn, where our banquet is held.  At this time we are cautiously optimistic that we can have our annual Fathers' Day weekend show.  If anything changes we will let you know.  Dan Hauter, Board Member, The Allis Connection.

You are correct, Bob.  I'm president of the Macoupin County Historical Society and we cancelled our Spring Festival that was scheduled for May 23 & 24.  Then the Macoupin County Fair board cancelled the fair scheduled for June 14 - 20.  There is way too much uncertainty about what we'll be allowed to do and whether the governor would send in the police to shut us down.  Then there's liability if somebody gets covid & claims they got it at our show or the fair.  Most of the workers at the historical society and the fair are seniors and thus vulnerable if exposed to covid.  And neither organization wants anyone to get sick or die.  So no fair this year.  The historical society plans to have our Fall Festival on September 19 & 20.

Last Fri the Allis Connection Board decided to go ahead with the show.  Same place, just a few changes, no kiddie pedal pull and no Dyno, there will be a lunch both days and the ice cream lady will be there (thats some killer ice cream).  The banquet will still be Sat nite, they say they have nuff room to meet guidelines, there will also be a Scolarship Auction.  We have enough space to accomodate a nice crowd, might have to limit the number in the building, dont know yet.  Thanks  Skip

Please plan to attend the annual The Allis Connection Father's Day Show in Middle Amana, Iowa.  For those who haven't been there, we rent the Community Park in Middle Amana.  The total space available including the soccer fields is probably 80 acres so we have more than plenty room.  There is 1 enclosed building, 2 pavilions, and restrooms.  Lots of very nice shade trees.  It's out in the healthy countryside!  Plenty of fresh air!  Food & ice cream available on grounds.  Restaurants & shopping nearby.  The banquet will be Saturday night at The Ox Yoke Inn.  Let get out there & have some fun!

The Amana Society cattle feeding facility is about 3 miles from the Middle Amana Community Park so for the Friday tour of the cattle feeding facility folks can either drive tractors or vehicles.

The food vendor for The Allis Connection show will be The Yellow Wagon from Osceola, Iowa.  They plan to arrive around 6 PM on Friday, June 19.  Earlier if possible.  They will offer breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.  They'll offer supper on Saturday if there are enough people on the grounds to make it worth their while.  The Yellow Wagon has a website and Facebook page if you'd like to check them out.  We'll also have an ice cream vendor.  See you at the show.
