OK,,I happen to be a fan of Sarah Palin for reasons that I will keep to myself at this time as ,,,,,,,,,it not important ,,,,yet,,, Anyway,,I read her book "Going Rogue" which she wrote after her and McCain's failed try at the highest and second highest office of our great Nation. As she did several times In the book,,she quoted Abe Lincoln on one of his sayings that I had never read about. It was about doing what's right even when things ain't going your way. I have wanted to refer that comment several times but cannot remember it,,,,PFFFFtttttt
I WILL state,,,I've read thet sob at least 5 times and I guess I am reading over it or,,,,,,,,or,,,heaven forbid,,,,,,I been dreamin it,,,!!! Anybody read the book that remembers the quote,,? (Ya'll don't have to look at the pictures, just the quote)

here is one........
“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”
Don't know for sure if Lincoln originated the thought, but often I practice it...

Joe, the only one I found was this... but that was just scanning through the book.
"Abe
Lincoln reminded Americans that you can't lift up the poor by pushing
down the very people who create jobs for them. The rich will simply move
their wealth elsewhere, and the poor will wind up even poorer." pg360
Googled part of your quote... and got this,
C.S. Lewis Quote: Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
But it’s not enough to know right from wrong. You need the strength to do
what’s right, even when what you want most in the world is the wrong
thing.

Well,,JC,,,you da man,,,!!!You fount the one I was looking for about what the end result of a biden administration leads to socialism because the rich will LEAVE to other countries and take their money with them,,,,BUT,,,,I do the cut and paste but it comes out in light blue and I can't see it to read,,,,??? WTH? But,,,I KNOW you can fix that ,,,right,?,,right,,,? (I'm doing a lisa paige there, you understand)
Shameless,,,!!! where is your patriotic spirit??? I have this AH neighbor that thinks the liberals are the best thing that ever happened to him and his lazy buddies. He thinks that after voting Trump out,,,the whole country is gonna go on welfare and ,,,NOBODY is gonna have to work,,!! Where in the fu** do these people get these hair brained ideas??? He says all the rich people got lots of money and we'll be tapping that source,,,Can you believe that??? They never stop to do the math to realize that THAT source will sooner that later,,run out,,!!
Anyway,,,I have no idea if ole Abe was thinkin of socialism when he wrote that but it is the best I have read and I KNOW you gonna like it too soon as ole JC fixes it,,,,,

That was back when (most) politicians were honest and hard working. I love her too Joe....it's a good thing I'm not close enough to kiss her. Joe, these libertards get their ideas from the govt itself. THEY promise them ANYTHING so they can get reelected and make more $$$ at the working mans expense. And the schools are forced to forward their agenda. I don't even GO to the political part, much less post, but I've got a dandy for the Covid 19 crap.

“.. That was back when (most) politicians were honest and hard working...”
I think that most present-day politicians ARE honest and hard-working. It’s the ones who are not; that everybody hears about and give the rest a bad name!

I'd fire up the grill and throw on some home grown steaks for Sarah or Don and Melania.... I'm not real picky.
But they prolly wouldn't want to dine at the ol picknik table in the shade of the 140 year old cotton wood tree. Dang, I can see the security guards poken aroun in all my junk... they might stub their toe and soo me Doubt they would even want to go help do my chores either... can see my ol moos comin up to give 'em the big ol lickor two and them drawn their guns on my moos and screamin 'BACK OFF BACK OFF or we'll shoot' I can see Sarah goin an smooch'n an pettin them. Now don't go gettin no funny ideas just cuzz see'n how she's an available woman again from what I heard...
