Any idea of what # 162 would fit ? They claim 150 #'s per "set" ?? 2 pairs on my local craigslist.

I always felt they were a "universal" weight that would fit most tractors with a cast center hub, or round spokes with J-hook bolts. What would you like to put them on?

Pre-WW2 A-C tractors on steel wheels...because I'm too cheap to buy tires!

They will fit your 180. Here's a pic of my (Dad's) 185 with a set. 161's on the inside, 162's out. I did have to index the lug-bolt heads to get them on. They weigh about 150 lbs. apiece.

162s are a universial weight I have a set on my wd 45 if your going to stack them you want to put the 161 weights on first they have a lip to center the other weights. I had problems with my 162 without 161s under them I cured the problem by adding another set of bolts and getting real tight.

The 161 also have a slightly larger center hole to get a socket onto the six nuts holding wheel center to hub on the WC's

I did not know F&H made a #161 and a #162. I just thought an F&H was an F&H. I'll have to go down to the machine shed and look for a number and see what I find. Great conversation! Learn something everyday.   Thanks for bringing up this discussion. Much appreciated!

Anyone have a front set of weights that match the rear weights on the WD45?

I would like to find a set of those myself Lon. Have seen them in the book but never in person. Probably a guy in Texas has that several sets.

Never saw the front ones in person either. I found my rear set and I didn't know what I was looking at, but bought  them anyway as weights are good property. Then I found them in the book and found they are 375 pounds each. Way cool to have a full set.

Here is a pic from the 'Deep tillage tools' manual. Lists the front weights as 157 Lbs., more than twice as much as the more common 'doughnut' weights.

Hi Dakota Dave:  I checked my F&H weights and they all have the #162.  When you say this number is a "universal" weight, does that mean they would fit the standard rear wheels on the D-15 and D-17?  Nothing special to do with them?  Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

I know on a D17 you need a 161 weight first (smaller diameter) then you can put on the 162.  The 162 will hit the bolts that stick out for the power shift wheels.
