| It's neg ground. Don't have enough knowledge to say for sure but doesn't sound like a good idea. Hook it directly to battery ...pos to pos neg to neg. Don't worry about tractor polarity. |

| I would do a whole lot of continuity testing or I would total insulate it from the tractor if I was going to hook it direct to the battery. There might be a ground in the case that would carry to the tractor when mounted. |

NO !!! Well NOT easily.... you'd have to mount in a wooden box or somehow TOTALLY isolate it from the tractor AND the antenna CANNOT ever touch the tractor either.... ...thinkin... hmm. assuming the radio is 12 volts,you could repolarize the generator, flip ammeter connections and that would be OK ..... as the tractor is now a negative ground.... ------------- 3 D-14s,A-C forklift, B-112 Kubota BX23S lil' TOOT( The Other Orange Tractor) Never burn your bridges, unless you can walk on water |

yeah, uses car body as the ground plane , that's why you can't bolt the antenna to the tractor as it'll sort out a +ve gnd radio. just another reason to go 12Volt -ve ground.....
