Many seed companies will provide compatible plates with purchase of graded seed. AC plates are the same as JD290 series planters, and older style IH plates. AC's require a center adapter, which is readily available. Have a neighbor that made his own, by shaping the seed pockets with bondo and using a dremel tool to shape the pockets! ------------- Source: Babylon Bee. I use regular corn plates to plant sweet corn. it's a cut-down ih 450 and for sweet corn just use a smaller sized cell and/or slow the set down. I have planted acres and acres with it over the years with great stands/spacing. ------------- http://machinebuildersnetwork.com/ |
