What should the oil pressure be at idle and at high throttle on a CA 125 engine?

I believe the oil pressure is 12 or 15psi from the factory. It will be lower as the engine warms up. Warmed up at idle expect it to be 8 or 10, but depends on how worn your engine is. 5 psi is ok at idle but under load 5 is too low in my opinion.

On the CA sadly the condition of the engine has (nothing) to do with the oil pressure on the gage. Oil pressure on the gage only shows the pressure between the pump and the oil filter. The volume of oil from the pump flows thru the pump stem into a hollow camshaft some out the spinning camshaft thru little holes to lube the camshaft and main bearings. The rods pick up the oil from the little holes that are in line with the rods thru holes in the rods that pick up the oil as it spins forcing the oil into the rod bearings.
This is the reason it does not take a higher pressure to keep the bearings lubed.
