It's just a Deere-be-gone now... To low of a trailer, to abrupt of approaches, made for a bad day... ...an a dead deere along side the tracks.

Didn't even slow the train down one bit. If you are going to try a crossing like that with a lowboy have plenty of speed and put the pedal to the metal. Hopefully you can drag it across.

Know of a NUMBER of Truck 'Herders' that ended up with Train damage or at least in three instances train Track damage because the morons were TOO busy trying to make up for screw off time to Fully raise Dolly legs then too off only to get snagged on tracks. The three were able to contact the railroad who happened to contact the train dispatch office and got the trains red lighted, the remaining(cannot remember actual number but OVER 5) that failed to clear track either disengaged truck to allow the trailer to die or failed in attempts to visually signal and stop the trains or just sat there dinking around until the train hit them.

I've watched that video several times, looks like the truck tractor got pulled into the train too. Hopefully the driver had bailed out before the train got there. Found out it happened in Money, MS last year. Saw another slightly longer video. There is probably more info about it.

The local city of Morrison just decided they need to post signs on 2 of their crossings like this. Some dipwad got hung up on one just recently, with a fancy live in horse trailer. Problem was, there was a horse in the trailer when the train hit it. I think there are 5 crossings in city limits and 3 are flat crossings, the 2 are very obviously NOT suitable for pulling any trailer across. I seriously doubt a sign will make any difference. Ya still can't fix STUPID!

Reminds me of a quiet bucolic 4 way stop sign intersection, about 2 miles from here. Rich biotch runs stop sign, tries to sue my cousin, who she ran into. Insurance co denies her claim, so she goes to the county, has 'em put up a 4 way red flashin light, that all the rich biotches still run...

Yep, true. A trucker with a lowbed did it here. Load was a very big new trackhoe with a log processing attachment on it which was probably worth twice as much as the new trackhoe. Millions of dollars damage. You cant fix stupid.

Sheese, in the vid it shows the ol train plowing into 100,000+ pounds of steel and it keeps on rolling like it didn't hit a thing.... An then last night around 9:30 coming home from Hutchinson show, we got the deer in the headlights show...WHACK!!! A deer came out of the weeds and the ditch on the north side of the road on a dead run and I seen it and stomped on the brakes. And that deer came across into our lane still running like a speeding bullet and got right in front of the ol' Buick an SMACK! she flipped up over the hood and got airborn. Cheryl said she looked out the side window and it cleared the ditch and landed in a somebody's lawn and sliding on it's side.
Damage could have been far worse, but bad enough... front grill got broke, pushed in the top and buckled it in and then bent the hood and buckled the right fender and damaged the right lights and it was shining in the treetops rest of the way home. Dang, thats the third deer that car has hit... and a wild turkey too. Gotta see if I can straight then stuff out. Well it was nothing spectaculer as the train hitting that rail crossing deere, and it just shouldn't have happened... cuzz them dnr fellers didn't take their pet deers to road crossing training school.

Would sure be nice if the Fish and Wildlife departments would school all the deer and bigger critters on how to cross the road. It is bad when you see them and put out the anchor, but keep it from skidding out of control. Been there done that 3 times. But if you want to put some strain on your old ticker, have it jump off a bank and smack your door and his head smacks the side window. He was nice little forked horned buck 12 to 14 inches wide.
I just knew that old window was not going to keep his head out of the car, but it did. But I got a good look at his teeth as he hit. An he picked himself up off the road and trotted on off like nothing happened. But it has made me shut up,as I didn't want to believe my wife's story that one ran into the side of the same car a year before. Other than no scratches in the paint was like a parking lot door ding, you needed to know were to look to find it. The one that got me left a lot of mark,he smacked it real good.

" Seems Movers aren't to bright."
Specially them speakin them foreign "me speeka no inglis" dialects.
Jay, thet deer was on somebody else's property when it quit sliding... an
your right Chask, it was not funny... I woulda rather had hit thet
sum-ahbich with my truck instead of Cheryl's car. like I skun that one
last fall when it jumped out of the tall grasses an right into the front
of the truck, THUNK-thud and it was all gutted when it landed across
the other side of the road. Dragged it into the ditch and when coming
home, tossed it in the back of the truck.
Ray, they must try those "extreme challenges" with the cars on purpose... and trucks. Had one jump right over the hood of the car, but,,, he didn't quite clear the top of the windshield... and landed upside down in the ditch with his horns stuck in the ground. Backed up and looked at him and his squirming and he finally got them out and got up and took off. He must have been late for a hot date.

If that truck driver can't chain them down better than that, he'll get fired. That train uses some mighty good headlights.
