What are the visual differences between the sickle mower for a B or C Allis and the one for a CA? What is the model number for the CA mower? I have seen two for sale lately but can't remember the difference. The pulley is different I remember, what else? Thanks, Tim!

The CA mower frames are longer. If you're really serious about cutting hay with your
CA get a 82T to go on it.The 82T will out cut the CA mounted mower by a mile and a
WHOLE lot easier to hook up.

I had a 82T mower and while it was a lot easier to hook up, I like a side mount for mowing the ditches around my place. I wish I could find a 82S for my WD45 but they are hard to find. I currently have a 80R with a 9 ft. bar for the WD45 for mowing hay. I have seen a lot more of the B and C mowers for sale locally. Wanting to find one that fits my CA.

The side mounted mower for the CA was the #5 mower.  You could find it easily since it had a dual v-belt.  You would mount the CA right hand hydraulic cylinder forward with a tube to attach to the lift assembly.  There was a bolt on attachment for the front of the mower so it would fit the B-C and the CA.  For the B-C it fit in the rear bolt holes and for the CA in the front holes.
You will probably have trouble finding one.  You may want to listen to Gary Burnett since the 80 series mower has twin drive for a Pittman rod and will cut much better.  Yes I can understand the problem with the rear mount but it is a much better mower.
Good Luck!

Also if you have much of an angle to the ditches the pitman rod mower isn't going to
work very well.

I just bought one of these and would like to know how they hook up and operate with the cylinder mounted on the sickle mower trailer and it has about a 15 foot half inch diameter quick connect hose to connect to my CA?

The hose goes to the remote coupler on your CA.

There is a pre-owned 82T operator's manual on eBay for about 10 bucks and several more for less than 20. The manual will have adjustments and maintenance info to help you, as well as info on hooking it up.
